If you are a woman and you are overweight, then you might have told yourself more than once that you need to lose weight. But in order for you to stay healthy, you will need to change your way of life. There no point in working hard to shed those extra pounds if you’re going to put it all back after you stop.

One of the most important things your body needs in order to lose weight is regularity. So you must eat and exercise at the same time every day, otherwise you won’t achieve the results you desire. Here are some more ways you can lose weight in a fast and healthy way:

1. Burn more calories than you eat: This is the basic principle of weight loss. If you eat more food than you can burn through daily activities, you gain weight. That is why now you need to do it the other way round. So you have to cut your calorie intake and increase your activity level. That is why people always say that in order to lose weight successfully you need to diet and exercise at the same time.

2. Change your life one step at a time: When changing your way of life, you need to do so gradually, it the only way you will have both a fit body and your health at the end. Plus we don’t like change, am I right? In other words, you’re more likely to go from full-fat milk to semi-skimmed milk and from there to skimmed milk, than all the way at once.

Think of weight loss as a way to constantly and permanently change your eating habits. You also need to make these new changes stick and you are more likely to do so if they happen gradually, not all at once.

4. Decrease your calorie intake: Being overweight means that you are overeating and that your diet consists mainly of fatty foods, cakes and sweets. But if you want to lose weight, you need to change that. The goal is to make your body burn the fat it has stored, while you continue on eating healthy foods, which won’t cause you to put that weight back.

But bear in mind that you should never, under any circumstances, follow a crash diet, because they contain daily menus which are under 1500 calories. That’s not good, since it will make you either too weak to go on or cause you to give up.

If you want to use the fastest way to lose weight then you must not take any shortcuts. Be patient, it is worth it! Set yourself a realistic goal, like decreasing your daily intake by 300 to 500 calories, which will make you lose between one and two pounds a week.
